ABSURDITY OF CONTEMPORARY

In this minimal setup, white is the protagonist. Clean, open, almost overwhelming.
At the centre sits a bag of coal, simple yet loaded with meaning. Leon isn’t just showing it; he’s inviting you to step closer, to touch it, to risk getting your hands dirty.

The objects here aren’t rare or extravagant, they’re everyday things, reframed as ART. Their value comes alive when you interact with them: when you touch, move, or even alter them. That’s when they shift, when a conversation between art and viewer begins.

But there’s also a tension. Even when you’re invited, how often do you hold back? Social pressure, hesitation, the fear of stepping over an invisible line, these are the walls we build for ourselves.

Leon’s work plays with that space, asking what it takes to let go, to explore, to allow yourself to participate fully.

In the end, it’s not just about coal on your hands, it’s about the mark the experience leaves on you.
